  • To bring to the public through the society’s publications information concerning African violets, their culture, and their propagation;
  • To provide meetings at which African violets are exhibited (to stimulate the interest of this plant) and which provide a forum where interested persons may be informed of all aspects of the horticulture of the African violet both by means of informed speakers and experts and by general discussion among those in attendance; and

NYSAVS  is affiliated with the African Violet Society of  America, Inc. (AVSA) and the African Violet Society of Canada (AVSC) and shall support their objectives and rules.
